We have donated $77,143 to the Sunrise Children Association to help build two homes for orphaned children learning vital life skills to survive.

There is a crisis in Nepal where families are torn apart because of poverty and death. In some cases, parents are forced to give up a child or children purely because they are unable to care for them or afford basic life necessities. The Sunrise Children Association has dedicated itself to help children that find themselves without families. Their goal is to not only provide basic human necessities for them but to teach them essential life skills so that when they are older and are forced to leave the orphanage they will have all of the tools they need to live a productive, healthy life on their own. Sunrise has built the “Sunrise Home” on almost 1.5 acres of land. They are in the process of building an entire community structure for the children in the care including self contained flats that have bedrooms, a kitchen, dining, studio and recreation area. They provide the children with a well balanced diet, clean drinking water, clothing, medical care and a good education in a home environment while also teaching them skills they will need to survive as adults including cooking, crowing their own crops, milking their own cows, etc.
